Although Kintyre is barely 8 miles wide, there's a marked contrast between east and west. The west coast road offers rocky coves, sandy beaches and wide open views to the islands of Gigha, Islay, Jura and beyond. By contrast, the east coast terrain continually climbs and falls, passing through moorland and forest as it looks out over the Kilbrannan Sound to Arran Island. Both the coasts and the wild places between have their own unique beauty which offers so many rare delights for me as a goldsmith.
